A Natural Setting in the Rainforest

Tofino Botanical Gardens provides a beautiful and natural setting for outdoor wedding ceremonies, wedding photos and other group events, such as family reunions.  Our Gardens are open to the public from 9 am to dusk every day, and weddings and events share the space with visitors.

Only one event or wedding can be booked per day.  All arrangements are subject to Gardens staff approval.  At least one staff person will be on-site for all rentals.

Some dates may not be available due to special events or Gardens activities.

Facilities Available

Garden Café & Lower Lawns: The café interior is a 600 sq ft space (30 ft by 20 ft) with high ceilings, ample natural lighting, and two private bathrooms.  The café seats up to 30 people or up to 50 with the use of the outdoor covered patio of 540 sq ft. The maximum for a standing reception is 100.

The Garden Café is open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm from June 1 to September 30, and from 9 am to 2 pm from October 1 to May 31. It can be rented for events and meetings after closing to the public. Rental times for the Café are subject to change.

Upper Event Terrace: 34 ft by 30 ft (1020 sq ft).  The area accommodates one 30 x 30 ft tent or two 20 x 20 ft tents on a level gravel surface.

Rental of the Garden Café and/or the Event Terrace includes use of the BBQ (wood fire or charcoal) and associated lawn area of 34 ft by 28 ft. There are also two lawn areas next to the Café patio available to clients that are 20 ft by 15 ft each.

Tents are allowed on lawns next to venues from October 1 to May 31. Tents are permitted on the upper event terrace year round.
