Are you interesting in helping out at the upcoming International Congress of Ethnobiology in Tofino, May 9-14?
We're looking for friendly people to help staff the registration and information desk at the Tin Wis Resort. You'll help people from over 50 countries by answering questions about the area, helping them understand the congress program, assisting with the message board or lost and found, and handing out maps and information. We're seeking committment of at least two shifts of 7 am - 12pm; 12 pm to 5pm, or 5 pm - 10 pm starting at noon on Sunday May 9th until 5 pm on Friday May 14t. We also have a few opportunities left for people to volunteer at certain sessions of the Congress by helping with timekeeping, laptop projectors, and general session "suhering." Please contact Josie at [email protected] for more information.
Are you a Tofino resident willing to host a Congress participant as a home-stay guest? Any person living in Tofino who is able to provide accommodation and daily breakfast is encouraged to apply to become a Congress Homestay Host! - Provide private sleeping accommodation and a shared or private bath, and breakfast (for example, cereal/toast, juice and a hot beverage) for one or more guests from approximately Sun May 9 to Friday May 14, 2010, during the Congress period.
