Volunteer

Whether you are a student seeking a valuable experience that will help you network and learn, a local Tofino resident interested in meeting people from all over the world, or simply a Congress participant willing to donate your time with no need for reduced fees,  we would love to have your help.

Volunteers will be selected using the following criteria (in no particular order):

• Full-time or part time students
• Under-employed individuals
• Individuals attending the Congress at their own expense
• Individuals who wish to volunteer regardless of registration fee rebates 

Volunteers will receive a full or partial rebate on their registration fees, after the Congress. More details about volunteering will made available in late 2009 or early 2010.

Are you a Tofino resident willing to host a Congress participant as a home-stay guest? Any person living in Tofino who is able to provide accommodation and daily breakfast is encouraged to apply to become a Congress Homestay Host! If you can offer the following, then please contact Josie Osborne at ice2010tofino.com (please use HOMESTAY in the subject line) or via text or voicemail at  250-266-5229

• Provide private sleeping accommodation and a shared or private bath, and breakfast (for example, cereal/toast, juice and a hot beverage) for one or more guests from approximately Sun May 9 to Friday May 14, 2010, during the Congress period.
• Meet your guest(s) at the beginning of their stay.
